Hope

He's the best thing that's happened for the comedians in this country since Bush!

Scary stuff and when I point out the dangers of a Republican president to "those people" their answer is we have to get rid of Obama. No hope there.

Stan

This guy is not only scary, he's dangerous!

Last week you made a strong case expanding on Grandpa's theory about the masses. No, I'm not ready to take a deep breath and relax until this farce is completed and our sitting president is reelected.

LIke you, I do not have any clear idea of what the future will bring. However, I do remember something our English instructor, Mr. Blakely, wrote on the blackboard way back in 1962: "90% of the people in this class will earn their living at things that do not even exist today . . ." I've got to believe that we are on the cusp of new discoveries, new technologies and new career . . . if only we will invest in education and research.

PS: I hope G-d grants you many, many more good healthy years!

MJ Cohen

So much for the one pony guy, huh? I guess we're stuck with Obama for another term, which is probably good for me financially, short term - but the size of the financial bow wave is really getting scary. Is there an end game in his plans? What happens when we can borrow no more? Any guess how this tragedy ends? I guess I'm lucky that (at 77 years of age) I may not be in the audience of the theatre!

There is little chance that Sen. Santorum will "tack to the center." The one positive thing you can say about the man is that he has always been both consistent and predictable. Although I disagree with him -- and voluably so -- and obviously have a completely different political/theological perspective, I do appreciate that he is not motivated by transient considerations. In other words, he really, truly means what he says. And that is part of what makes him so terribly frightening . . . and utterly unelectable.

Midnight Owl

Sadly, I agree with you--the only hope for him is the promise that like many before him, he tacks to the center, if and when he is elected

Randall L. Church

The real problem is not whether ex Sen Rick (Should be in a)Sanitarium is running for POTUS or POTMA,but the many people who will read his incoherent blithering and BELIEVE IT.

Alan Weiss

I love reading your writing.
